This Week’s Special Episode is Dedicated to my Partner Ashley on the 4th Anniversary of our Wedding, February 29th, 2008. Here’s to 4x4=16 more!
Once upon a time in the Whimsical World of LAOTUS there was a happy place known as Giggletown, there lived two extraordinary clowns named AO and DAO. They were known throughout the land for their boundless energy, infectious laughter, and the ability to make even the grumpiest of souls crack a smile.
One sunny morning, as AO and DAO were preparing for their daily three-ring performance, they discovered that their beloved red noses had mysteriously vanished. The clown duo was devastated. Without their iconic noses, they felt like they had lost a part of themselves.
Determined to find their missing noses and bring back the laughter, AO and DAO embarked on a wacky quest that would take them through the zaniest corners of Giggletown. Their journey led them to Markus, the mysterious Masked Magician, who held the power to grant them new noses.
To gain the magician's favour, AO and DAO had to prove themselves worthy by collecting three enchanted magic masks scattered across the town. These masks were said to possess the ability to awaken their dormant sense of fun and adventure.
With hearts full of determination, AO and DAO set off on their wild adventure!
Deep within the back alleys of Gillytown, the duo encountered gaggles of gibbering goblins who had a mischievous streak of their own. AO and DAO quickly found themselves surrounded by impish grins as their growling giggling laughter began to fill the air.
Thinking on their feet, AO and DAO unleashed their arsenal of comedy. They started performing a series of hilarious tricks and slapstick routines, leaving the goblins doubled over with laughter. As the goblins roared with amusement, the clowns slipped away.
Their quick wit and agility had ensured their escape into the Cackling Caverns. Here, the Mask of Chuckles was rumoured to be located within a labyrinthine underground network, where insatiable laughter echoed in every direction.
As AO and DAO explored the winding tunnels, they encountered glowing mushrooms that emitted playful chortles and ticklish traps set by the mischievous creatures who guarded the mask. With their nimble acrobatics and impeccable timing, the clowns outwitted the traps and reached the heart of the caverns.
There, they discovered a group of murmuring mummers and mumbling mimes who had unknowingly taken the Mask of Chuckles as a prop for their travelling show.
Using their charm and captivating performance, AO and DAO convinced the mummers to hand over the mask, promising that their show would be even more amusing without it.
Continuing their quest, AO and DAO stumbled upon a packs of playful prankster pixies. These tiny creatures loved to play tricks and their knack for mischief was legendary. Undeterred, the clowns decided to outwit them with their own brand of clownish deception.
AO, with a mischievous twinkle in their eyes, challenged the pixies to a game of hide-and-seek. But little did the pixies know that they were playing against masters of disguise. The clowns effortlessly blended into the surroundings, mimicking the pixies' tricks and making them believe they had vanished.
Bursting into laughter, the pixies admitted defeat. Amazed by AO and DAO's comic prowess, they told the duo about the Mask of Guffaws, which was said to be hidden deep within the mystical Forest of Hardy Har-Har.
As AO and DAO ventured into the forest, they encountered trees that whispered jokes and flowers that emitted contagious laughter. Guided by the sound of gleeful chuckles, the clowns followed the trail until they reached a clearing.
There, they discovered a mischievous Squirrel-Hydra wearing the Mask of Guffaws, scampering through the trees. With the help of a sackful of faux nuts, a clever juggling diversion and an insanely ticklish feather, AO and DAO managed to snatch the mask from the squirrel's clutches.
As AO and DAO continued their journey, they came across a bridge guarded by Tricksy the Tricky Troll. Tricksy, notorious for demanding riddles and tickling those who failed to answer, proposed a comedic challenge to the clowns.
With their quick thinking, AO and DAO responded with a flurry of witty one-liners and puns that left the troll in stitches. Laughter filled the air as Tricksy doubled over, unable to contain its trollish amusement. Taking advantage of the Tricksy's distraction, AO and DAO crossed the bridge, leaving the delighted creature in a fit of sniggering convulsions.
The Mask of Belly Laughs, was said to be guarded by the notorious Tickle Meister high atop the Capricelicious Tower of Comdey which was just down the road from the bridge. This monumental structure stood in the heart of Sillyville, a nearby city brimming with joy and laughter.
As AO and DAO made their way to the top, they encountered an array of amusing challenges designed to test their abilities of hilarity. From an innuendo laden barrage of flying feather dusters to an inflatable octopus obstacle course, the clowns faced them all with unyielding determination and infectious laughter.
Along the way AO and DAO also collected a quill feather and inflatable octopus ink which they used to write pages and pages of light tongue-in-cheek material.
At last, they reached Tickle Meister, a jovial giant with an insatiable ticklish spot. With synchronized tickling tactics and a well-timed joke, AO and DAO managed to make Tickle Meister laugh so hard that he accidentally dropped the Mask of Belly Laughs into their waiting hands.
With all three masks in their possession, AO and DAO held the power of laughter and mirth. They had overcome countless challenges, displayed their comedic prowess, and spread joy wherever they went.
Their ability to think on their feet, deliver quick comebacks, and engage their adversaries with laughter proved to be their greatest strength.
The magic masks not only represented their triumphs but also reminded them of the importance of finding humour in even the most difficult situations.
As they collected the magical masks, AO and DAO had felt a transformation within themselves. The masks seemed to unlock a hidden joy and playfulness they had long forgotten. They realized that it wasn't just about finding their red noses, but about rediscovering the spirit of laughter and the magic of their clowning craft.
Finally, armed with the three magic masks, AO and DAO returned to the Mysterious Masked Magician's tent. With a mischievous twinkle in their eyes, they presented the masks, hoping to regain their lost noses and the laughter they brought.
Markus The Mysterious Masked Magician, impressed by their determination and the joy they had spread throughout their quest, smiled and bestowed upon AO and DAO the most radiant red noses they had ever seen. As they donned their newly acquired noses, a wave of laughter filled the air, echoing throughout Giggletown.
AO and DAO knew that their quest had not only brought them their red noses but also a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper bond between them. Together, they realized that laughter was more than just a job—it was their calling, their way of bringing joy to the world.
From that day forward, AO and DAO continued to spread laughter and happiness wherever they went. Their performances became legendary, with audiences rolling in the aisles and children squealing with delight.
And as for their adventure with the magic masks, it became a story told for generations to come. The tale of AO and DAO, the dynamic pair of clowns who embarked on a crazy quest, brought back their laughter, and reminded the world of the magic of humour and the power of a red nose.
So, if you ever find yourself visiting LAOTUS, be sure to catch a glimpse of AO and DAO. With their tickling routines, comical banter, and their red noses shining bright, they will whisk you away on a journey of joy and remind you that sometimes, the greatest adventures can be found in the simplest of things—like a hearty laugh and a silly red nose.
